UK PM Starmer Apologises to Epstein Victims for Trusting Mandelson’s ‘Lies
UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer apologised to victims of Jeffrey Epstein for trusting Lord Mandelson and appointing him as the UK's ambassador to the US. Starmer said that it's clear now that Mandelson lied about the relationship with Epstein during the investigation. He also stated that if he knew about Mandelson earlier he would not have appointed him as an ambassador. This matter causes a major political crisis, not only with opposition party but also Labour MPs. The MPs are pressuring Starmer to step down. Starmer promised to release the official files related to the appointment of Mandelson, while Mandelson denies wrongdoing and claimed that he answered questions honestly.
